  • Meet Chelsea I. Clinton,
    M.D.

    At an early age, medicine attracted Dr. Clinton as a career that could help her attain both her personal and professional goals. She started her education at Trinity University in San Antonio where she volunteered widely in organizations that benefitted the elderly and individuals facing hardship. She served on the board of directors of the Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Honor Society and the Blue Key National Honor Society. She worked as a technician in a busy Houston emergency room and as a standardized patient for medical students while attaining her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with honors.

    A fulfilling experience of working with patients alongside physicians world-renowned in the field of rheumatology at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston inspired Dr. Clinton to pursue this career path. She returned to San Antonio to complete her internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship at The University of Texas Health Science Center.

    Dr. Clinton enjoys participating in endeavors that benefit her patients and her profession.  For the Texas Medical Association (TMA) she has served as Chairperson for the Council on Practice Management and the Council on Health Care Quality.  She has served on several other TMA committees as well as the editorial board for the Texas Medicine Magazine.  For the Bexar County Medical Society she has served on the board of directors and as the chairperson of the Women in Medicine Committee.  She served on the board of directors and medical advisory board for the Texas chapter of the Scleroderma Foundation Texas chapter of the Scleroderma Foundation.  She has also served on the BOD of the San Antonio chapter of Social Venture Partners.  In her spare time Dr. Clinton enjoys nature, exercise, traveling, reading, music and the performing arts.

    s on the San Antonio Social Venture Partners board of directors and grants & evaluation committee.  She serves on the editorial board for the Texas Medicine Magazine and on the Texas Medical Association TEXMED 2018 planning committee.  She recently completed her term as chairperson for the Texas Medical Association Council on Practice Managment and graduated from the Texas Medical Association Leadership College.  Dr. Clinton has served on (BCMS), on the board of directors and medical advisory board for the Texas chapter of the Scleroderma Foundation and as the chairperson of the BCMS Women in Medicine Committee.  In her spare time Dr. Clinton enjoys the outdoors, exercise, reading, traveling and spending time with family.

    Dr. Clinton is Board Certified in both Rheumatology and Internal Medicine and operates a private practice in San Antonio, Texas. In her outpatient clinic, she practices primarily Rheumatology.

  • Daniela Segura,
    Medical Assistant

    Daniela’s sister encouraged her to become a medical assistant, and Daniela feels that “becoming an MA has been the best decision I could make.”  She started working at C.I.Clinton Rheumatology, PLLC in 2011.  She says her favorite part about her job is “getting to know my patients and making them feel comfortable while they are here at the office.”  She enjoys interacting with patients, helping them in any way she can, educating patients about the administration of their medications and performing blood draws. In her spare time she exercises, rides her bicycle and spends time with her family and friends.

  • Brandy Thornton
    Medical Assistant

    Brandy developed an interest in the medical field when she was very young. She says “I have a passion for helping people and seeing that they get the best care possible so I decided to pursue my career as a medical assistant.” She joined C.I. Clinton Rheumatology, PLLC in 2009. She says “I love helping people and giving great patient care. I like that I learn new things on a daily basis and have wonderful co-workers to spend my day with.” Brandy also enjoys outdoor activities, traveling and spending time with her children and family.

  • Raquel Villarreal
    Billing Manager

    Raquel joined our team in 2013. She says “I enjoy coming to work every day and assisting my co-workers and patients with any concerns they have.” She says, “I wanted to choose a position that would give me satisfaction at the end of the day.” Rachel enjoys ensuring that back office processes run smoothly and effectively and that patient needs are addressed in a timely fashion. When not at the office she says she likes to share her appreciation for life with her family and friends.
